Description
As part of the European Heritage Days 2026 programme, the National Coach Museum will host the presentation of O Longo Caminho de Apolo (The Long Road of Apollo) on 21 September. The book is by Dr Filomena Barata, a scholar specialising in Classical Mythology.
The presentation will be followed by a themed guided tour, Myths in the National Coach Museum’s Carriages, offering visitors a journey through the collection and an opportunity to discover the mythological figures, symbols and narratives depicted in the decoration of the Museum’s vehicles.
An opportunity to explore the collection through the lens of mythology and discover Filomena Barata’s work, in an encounter between heritage, art and Classical culture.
