Bed Berlin

Historical context

A travelling carriage designed to serve either as an open vehicle or as sleeping accommodation. Its adaptable construction provided greater comfort on long journeys, combining the practical requirements of travel with the possibility of rest en route.

Description

It has the shield of the Coat of Arms of King João VI. The body displays simple lines and its painted in a dark green with gold filets. The seats could be folded over a frame to make a bed. Underneath the seats, there is a toilet system and boxes for storage or transporting utensils. The wheels are very wrong and wich is appropriate for long-distance transportation.
