Historical context

The appearance of the first car in Portugal occurred in 1895 acquired by Jorge Avilez de Sousa Feio, 4th Count of Avilez. It is a 4-seater vehicle of French origin, built by René Panhard and Émile Levassor. Owned by Automóvel Club de Portugal.

Description

On the front has a 1300cc engine, with 2 cylinders in V and power of 4 horses at 750 rpm. The box has 3 forward speeds and a reverse gear. The steering is done with the help of a rudder. It reached the maximum speed of 26 km per hour.
